RUSTY Cuda

In over my head!
Found some pics of my Dad's trains before he boxed em up for storage in my attic, forgot how many there were!
Modlers enjoy!

That's quite the collection.

I love model trains. I wish I had the room for big installation with the landscapes and towns and tunnels and everything.

wow...i hope your attic doesnt get hot......or most of them have likely warped...and that would be a HUGE shame...

Pretty Neat!
I love scale trains too. Sold all mine 5 or 6 years ago, and still regret it.

Last time I did my a/c unit I got the attic well ventilated,it was pretty bad with just the fan, it now has a fan on the roof, ridge vent & 2 end vents, not gonna be too long term, I found someone interested in them, gotta pull em out & go through everything, my intention is to make up a couple a small sets & sell the rest. A few for me, my sons & maybe eventually to the grand kids.

theres 2 in there id like but 1 id seriously like to lay my paws on...the plymouth "mule" done neer the bottom..its the short lil bastard in red

Thats my problem, I don't know whats really good & what just average stuff, I know there's a couple of really old working steam engines & that he bought some real good stuff along the way(he wasn't one to skimp, he wanted the best) looking at whats on ebay doesn't help much, you see the same looking engine, on for 3.99 & another for 399.00 I know theres a lot of brands & quality levels but have no idea whats what, hoping my friend will help put a value on most of it then I can start sorting it out.

It might be worth having a model train appraiser come and give you a price breakdown so you don't get low balled because of lack of knowledge on what is what.

i would have to agree with that....cause even the "cheep crap" can be worth a good bit just due to age

i see alot of stuff that i have/had as far as the cars are conserned..the engines i only see a small handfull of...i wouldnt be suprised if there is a good fair share of tyco stuff in there as i swear i see quite a few of them....but back then tyco made some REALLY nice stuff and some of it is highly valuable

Cool stuff Rusty! I love the H.O. stuff. Make sure to get things checked before you start selling. It would really suck to find out you let something go way to cheep.
