Could someone have hacked my HTTP site

I think someone hacked my site and erased all my pictures ...is that possible ? it was stored on MTS...manitoba telephone system...:huh:

I think anything is possible. it was either some jackass with a computer or the porn nazis.

i assumed that the pictures you spoke about were of the dirty variety:bravo:

It is possible, but my first guess would be a server crash on the hosts end.

Do you have copies of them somewhere on your computer? If you haven't already, you may want to call your ISP and ask them what happened. Depending on the size of the company they may have backups as well.

They'd need to be able to access your account or the whole server.

Escpecially if you've just got static web pages and pictures and stuff on there.

I'd be asking some pretty tough questions of MTS right about now.
on the flipside, if someone did hack in, they should be able to tell you from where.
They may not catch the person, but at least you'd know it was done from the outside and not a boneheaded site admin.
