Several reports have now come in claiming that the next Jeep Compass and Chrysler 100, which share a platform, will both be made in Brazil — and may beexported from the massive factory thereto the United States.
This conflicts with other reports which peg them as being made in various plantsfrom Toluca, Mexico, to the current Toledo Supplier Park.
While FCA US provided the United Auto Workers with a list of United States plant changes, the products were not mentioned by name, and no plants outside the United States were mentioned at all.The Chrysler 100 and Jeep Compass could also be made at the Melfi, Italy plant which makes the Jeep Renegade, but this seems unlikely given the expected volume of the pair.
