From 1962 to 1965, Dodge buyers could get a Custom 880. Now, it looks as though Chrysler buyers will be able to get an 880, too.

The old 880 was a Chrysler Newport with a Dodge front clip — an amusing car since the Newport was based on the standard Dodge. The current one is unknown at the moment; while Chrysler is set to launch a minivan next week,there is also a crossover in the works (scheduled to launch in a year), and there were, long ago, rumors of a large car based on the minivan platform, as Volkswagen Phaeton shared with Volkswagen Touareg.
