The area code of Detroit — 313 — has long been used on the license plates of Chrysler cars at shows. Now, it appears the company is trying to use it for something more; Steven St. Laurent pointed out that FCA US has trademarked “313” for use on cars.
There are numerous possibilities, the most likely of which is simply something such as a“Town & Country 313 Edition.” The company may also be considering a Chrysler 313 series — a luxury version of the 300, the long-rumored minivan-based crossover, or even a new crossover replacing the Dodge Journey.
The company also produced a 313 cubic inch V8 engine, one of the “A” engines created in the 1950s to replace the original Hemi with something lighter and cheaper. (...) →
