looking for a 60's slant 6 1brl and a carter/edel afb

a friend of mine is moveeing and needs the 1brl ASAP (his is rusted solid) must work and be cheep...the afb is not as important but his ramcharger carb got stolen (carter 625) id rather not loan him mine as he is leaveing state

I have those items but whats shipping going to be? If they are kitted up with new floats you are looking at at least 100 buks for the eddy and 50 for the slanty, that barely covers parts-carb cleaner ,bought that stuff lately? and about half the labor I normally charge. And then the guy is splitting so he dont much care about any warrenty or support so I just dunno man.[smilie=f:
 
lol i wasnt looking for rebuilt just working used..hell i can give em a good once over ..shipping shouldnt be much over 12$ ....guess i hunt ebay
 
Well this stuff is still on the vehicles but hasnt ran much lately. For my own personal use I might try it with a pressure regulator but for resale thats not the kind of thing you want. Where are you at down there? You know how this goes, you search high and low and what you want is right under your nose after you get it from bumfluck egypt.:doh:
 
actualy ive hit all of my normal yards (8 yards) ..with NOTHING to be found ...guess i could hit the yellow pages ..bleh
 
Are you closer to portland or salem? I can put you in touch with somebody either place to widen your search area.
 
The number for scott I have doesnt work, I guess his ol lady threw him out and hes at his moms. As soon as I get that one I will shoot it your way, he used to own highway 99 motors in vancouver and knows everybody. Hes out in se portland off of 122nd now.
 
I have a few all had problems except the one I just installed a 1v on dopameans /6 runs better, but then today I bought a offy intake to install FE so when that is done I will have 2 almost new /6 carbs I know I can get 50 for the one I just pulled and 100 for the NOS economiser I just installed. The afb i picked up for 10

here is why I paid out the nose for the last carb it has correct hook up for 63-65 and later /6


If you want a problem carb 1v and the AVB I will let you have them cheep ( shipping)
 
Nobody ever wants anything until I scrap it - sent a good carb to the recycler along with one decent and one dead /6 back in the spring.

Do you want the 7-1/4" rear that I've got laying in the floor before I scrap it too? :D

Never fails. Pitch sumthin and either you need it or the world beats a path to your door wanting it the next day. I actually take stuff to the dumpster on occasion but to look around you sure wouldnt think so.:dgt:
