Cheap big-block valve covers!

grab a pic of the damn thing!...i HATE the water..i sink like lead..and you have a truck to get it to the lake......

have you seen the 312 marine manifold..its a WEIRD one..i bet it would look stunning towed behind my 58

I've seen the manifold on the Century, but I don't remember it being particularly strange--probably because it's a 312 and therefore kind of Greek to me anyhow.

Next time I'm by there I'll have to get pictures of it. It's got the original gauges in it, which of course people try to replicate or emulate now, but these are the real deal from the era. I love the water, and I love boating... and I'm a total sucker for the sound of a V8 with the pipes half underwater. But even though it's in reasonably good shape, I just can't see myself buying something of such limited use to myself. Plus, the entry fee is $6,500, which I could see paying for a fully-operational, ready-to-run boat, but for a project? :dgt:

6500..yeah no thanks....but i bet she is purdy..and your right a v8 pipe half underwater is a glorious sound

basicly a clone of stock

marine..yes..the carb basicly floats and is essentialy a side draft...or forward draft?...some of these had DUAL carbs one forward one backward

Great, now I have to go back and see what's on it for an intake. I want to say it's more like the automotive one, though. I could be 100% wrong, of course, but I think side-drafts would've stuck in my head a little more. It's hard to say for sure since I'm not sure how many marine laws were actually in play at the time that Century was built. :hmmm:

Wow! That side draft intake is wild! Looks about as efficient as a midget on stilts though.

Jass. Where's this boat you speak of?

You should come pick me up in your Charger this afternoon and I can show you and get pictures of it. You'll get wood--teak, specifically. :D

yeah that side draft done look like it would breath well but its insanly wild and is one of those..youll KNOW if youve seen one ...the marine exhausts are just square logs
