On Friday, July 15, the Jeep® brand celebrated its 75th Anniversary in a most fitting way. As a tribute to 75 years of Go Anywhere. Do Anything.® capability and adventure, a commemorative one-of-a-kind Wrangler 75th Salute edition rolled down the the same line that has been producing Jeep Wrangler models for decades in Toledo, Ohio. Designed as a modern interpretation of the 1941 Willys MB, the Wrangler 75th Salute concept is based on the two-door Wrangler Sport and features numerous custom design elements meant to harken back to the original Jeep 4×4. The exterior features a military-inspired olive-drab color scheme, custom hood graphics that include the Army star and the date (20160715), and bronze commemorative fender badges. With rugged functionality as its primary design focus, there are no doors or B-pillars. Simple steel front and rear bumpers with tow hooks replace the standard factory units, and 16-inch steel wheels with 32-inch military non-directional tires (with matching spare out back) put the power to the ground.
