Me and a friend went on a cruise today to see if we could spot some parts cars or potential projects. Saw several cool old coupes and one really old open car with nothing noting the make. I saw no less than 4 power wagons, one was really cool looking. A few early 70's boats with 400's. One potential candidate was a coronet custom wagon. It is a 73 with a 400, will that spool type k member fit an e-body? It does have disc brakes and an 8 3/4 rear. I was hoping to use most of the drivetrain from something like that to get my hunka junka 70 challenger off the ground with a suspension, engine and trans. I did see a 74 scamp with /6, air car with disc brakes. The rotors were the only thing missing from the scamp, both calipers and both spindles are still there. I also saw a red spirit r/t with a 5 speed. Except for the coupes and power wagons most of these cars were at one guys place, he impounds cars that are abandoned on the El Paso highway due to either drugs or illegal immigrant smuggling. When I asked if he had any convertibles that guy made me wanna lose my lunch by telling me he had only ever had 2, one was a 56 chevy he sold for 750 to a guy from penn. and the other was a convertible barracuda that he crushed along with a bunch of other cars  I dont know if it was an A or E but he seemed to describe and E body. He said it was abandoned just before the border patrol check point and was missing the gas tank which pretty much describes a drug smuggling car. Small consolation, he said it was a /6 car. I know, very small consolation when you consider what he destroyed.

:( I am not in the habit yet of using my camera every time I see a car. I started out taking pics then got sidetracked and never even thought about it unitl I was posting here. I need to go back and get some pics of the coupes and that old touring car, you guys would get a kick out of some of those pics I think. Here are a few pics of some old dodge car and 2 of the power wagons, the green one is the one I liked the best because it has the chrome trim intact and has a funky ass grille. Oh and I have a bad habit of taking sideways pictures to get more of the car in the shot, my bad there.
