My dad’s 1964 Ford Country Squire sat in its garage for 53 years free of driving and free of direct sunlight.

My dad grew up in the depression and as a 16 year old he had to drop out of High School and work to support his mom and sister. Then there was World War II and he went off to serve his country in the South Pacific before he could get down to raising a family and incur all the expenses that come with raising kids and buying a home.

I'm glad that he's excited about this car, because I doubt that anyone else is. :dgt:

I like wagons.. prefer to delete the “wood” sides though. The gray/green might look kinda cool on it’s own

In general I like wagons too. I even have one. But the only thing that might entice me about this one is the three-on-the-tree. And the old man that bought it new would have a bird if he saw how I would drive it. :shifty:

cool story n all ...as much as i like wagons, im no fan of the 60-64 ford wagons, something about the lines fighting eachother

there was a sweet 65 out at the local wrecker for sale dirt cheep LOADED that no one wanted and went out to the yard and still nothing sold off it but trinkets

Well, it's not very exciting mechanically, but at least it's nothing to look at. That grille would gag a maggot.
