Car of the Week: 1949 Hudson Super Six

Beautifully done car but there was one major error in the writeup.
It states that it was also available with a V8, not true. They were available with an 8 cylinder but was an inline. As the article states, the 8's had less displacement than the 6's and developed less torque. The baddest of the 6's came in '51 with the 308ci. This engine ruled stock car racing throughout '51, '52, '53 and '54. The 1st V8 offered under the Hudson badge was in '55, after the Nash-Kelvinator-Packard merger. And that was a Packard design engine.
