CAP sites added for future mechanics

As it rapidly expands, FCA US needswell-trained mechanics (or “technicians”) towork at dealerships.
The Mopar Career Automotive Program (CAP) LOCAL, set up with the NationalCoalition of Certification Centers (NC3), has expanded itsprogram with twenty new sites, and plans to add another thirty next year.
The program prepares technicians to work as Level 1 Technicians on graduation from a two-year school, and ads to the original CAP program created in 1984, which has 31 colleges in major markets.
The new schools are:

  • Lawson State Community College in Bessemer, AL
  • American River College in Sacramento, CA
  • Evergreen Valley College in San Jose, CA
  • Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA
  • Ivy Tech Community College in Kokomo, IN
  • Washburn Institute of Technology in Topeka, KS
  • Wichita Area Technical College in Wichita, KS
  • Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, NC
  • North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND
  • Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, NE
  • Linn Benton Community College in Corvallis, OR
  • Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, OR
  • New England Institute of Technology in Warwick, RI
  • TCAT – Elizabethton in Elizabethton, TN
  • IvyTech Community College – Evansville in Evansville, IN
  • Tyler Junior College in Tyler, TX
  • Hill Community College in Dallas, TX
