bye bye dakota?

How can they drop the Dakota?? That sucks! Wonder if it will be replaced with another name....

i can actually see them going back to that idea. Base the truck off of the ram. Being as they are trying to seperate the RAM brand.

I would like to see, more honest to god "compact" trucks again. You don't need a tonner to haul your bbq home from Lowe's.

Sux if they really lose the Dak. They didn't try a 2 door Dakota based SUV yet. Dak-o-charger anyone?

oh im not dissin em boot i like the 96 body mexican ramchargers..actualy...i like alot of the mexican built rigs

just imagine a smaller version

Never seen one of those, that is pretty cute.
I was talking about my 86 rusty heap that was Built in Mexico. :o

far as i know they built em till 00 in mexico...but..as far as me and fishy are concerned the ramcharger stopped production when the top didnt come off in 1980

Trucks overall have gotten too big & fat.

Daks should have stayed the mid-size they were born as or even shrunk to a small truck & maybe there might be a reason for them to stay around.

Frankly, the current Dak is about the size a half ton should be. And the 3/4 tons up could approach RAM size.

The later Mexican Ramchargers were never available in 4WD.
That can be fixed![smilie=i: But as stated earlier, a TRUE Ram Charger has the 'Pop Top'. Would need a Sawzall, a grinder, a welder, some steel tubing, a case of beer and a weekend off! :D
