It takes you out because you have it opening in the same window, not a new one. Change your IE settings.

I'm using Mozilla. 68's post opens in this window, DCF's opens a new window. XL has slipped the server some of his special pills me thinks.

Using Firefox, if you mouse over the link, and right click, you will get a dropdown list and can choose how the link is opened.
