In the late 60's Mopar used the same jack for several years and models. There were no markings or numbers to define the original usage. The hooks were the defining difference. The same hook number would be used for more than one year, but the number would designate the model of application.

The ones for the slotted bumpers came about in the 70's and I never cared to learn about them. :dgt:

I would suggest searching ebay for similar looking jacks to determine the application.

1972 was the advent of the slotted bumper jacks... that's how you can tell a '71 B-car bumper from a '72, and the same with the E-bodies. The only difference is the slots. I'm not sure on the A- or C-bodies, but I think it holds true for at least the As.

I never cared to learn about bumper jacks at all. As long as the jack in the trunk would facilitate changing a tire, I was happy. However, I will say that the gray 30" jack you showed looks very similar to what came with my '73s (all of 'em), except as I recall all three were painted black (two Bs, one E). Though I haven't seen it in years, I vividly remember a picture of my '73 Challenger's trunk showing the rust damage and the never-out-of-the-trunk F70-14 Polyglas GT spare. The jack base was definitely black. I bought that car with 69K miles and all four original bald-ass GTs still on it, so I have no reason to believe that jack had ever been out of the trunk until I owned it.

Even with bumper jacks bringing what they do these days, I can't bring myself to give a damn about them... although the next time I'm at the yard, I'll certainly look in that unmolested '73 F1 green Satellite sitting out there to see if the jack is still in it for ya (Stretchy knows the car about which I speak). Being winter, that could be a while, so PM me a reminder around, oh, April. :D

None of the cars I currently own came with a bumper jack, so therefore I have none of which I could share pics.

Oops, my bad. The '67 fish had one; God knows if it's still there. I never checked.
