bought this cheap IMHO

i gots one of them tooo got mine for 60$ lol ..but wasnt polished but wasnt ever installed tho...its intresting trying to get a 4brl tuned on a slanty...but VERY fun....find yourself a SET of headers not a header to go with it

Used to have one of them on my old 74 Dart Sport.($75 cdn) Had a 500 holley on it. 225 /6 with 3sp standard on the floor, bench seat. Used to eat up a lot of chebby and phord sb's. g60 14 on the rear and sure was a lot of fun. Miss that car.

certainly was fun in my 68 fishy coupe with the 4spd ...but i had a 273 laying around lol..and a 625 carb was WAY to much for it

Guess he thinks is too good of a deal he wants to back out. But he will give me 20 to back out. Plan was to do TBI and use this manifold.... Should I let him back out?
Dopamean wants me to put the 273 I am geting with the 66 barracuda into the dart but I think she is still a little young for a fast car and that is a LIGHT car so that 273 should be quick. The car is so light that when tuned the stock 225 1v will smoke the tires and leave my dipp looking at tail lights. And she drives like I taught her so I worry.

since ive done both the /6 hot rod and the 273 ..$ for $ i would drop in the 273

i got the 4brl offy with intention of hotrodding the 6 ..even got a supercharger for it as well and descided screw it im waisting time on an engine missing 2 cyls' LOL

as a side note ..the 273 seemd to improve front end weight and eliminated some front end drift in hard turns and stopping...this is on an all poly front end

Remember Dopamean just turned 18 [smilie=2: so slant it FOR NOW...

you keep that!!! I was looking for one of those, some time ago. Don't let him out!

slant it is

Cripes- Ive had 3 of those over the yrs and never got more than 150 for one. For the daughter I would run a smaller progressive 2 barrel on a plate. Blower? C-mon, shes having a hard enough time with stuff without blowing head gaskets, I have the same problem with my 2 oldest girls being 500 miles away and one with a baby. Keep it simple and find her a good wrench to take it too when you cant be there for her. Would that huffer work on a 440?:hmmm:

That offy and 500 holley worked very well on my Dart Sport. Had lots of power for that size of car for a young person. The /6 head can also be safely shaved up to 120 thou with no problems. I had mine done 90 and it was a nice increase in performance and compression ratio. It was quite the eye opener for a lot of unsuspecting victims who's v8's fell to a /6. On the up side for the /6 as well is the gas milage stayed up as well. Very important factor for the youngun's. I say keep him at the agreed price and use it on the Dart rather than the 273 for now. Save the 273 for a later project or time when she can better aford the change.

That sounds like a plan, I picked up the good head for early /6 71 better squash aria and looks stock will cut 120 off and clean up port. I picked up rings and bearings for cheep. Then I jjust need to get rid of points...

..as for the points..go elec BUT to save wireing issues and such go MSD 6 or AL6...that way you dont have to butcher the stock wireing

Dopameans 4 door 65 had mopar performance conversion kit, the workingwas not too bad with only that mod and a SSR type voltage then the alt died and GSMoPar gave me a 2 wire, i had a heck of a time getting the regulator to control I had ground wires running all over when I was done.. MSD sounds good...

ive run the 5 6 6a 6al and been happy with the results of all of them...and quite frankly couldnt tell a performance diferance between the lot of them...definatly amazing in the fuel and thottle response department...with points even....tho i think i like my mallory electronic dist best of all of the combinations ive tryed with the msd...as a side note the blaster ss coil is another nice boost for about 40$..one hell of a compact coil(much like a chevy hei coil or an import coil)
