Big Step On Monday.

Hiding In The Bushes While
After over two years of spraying truck bedliners which in the past few months has gotten me so down about how shitty my job was I was finding it hard to get out of bed in the morning to go and do the back breaking monotonous job.

(Anyone here that has seen my Facebook statuses in the last month should already know. :D )

But my prayers have been answered, after looking and applying at just about any half decent shop over the course of almost a year I got a job working at a small and friendly 4 bay NAPA Auto Pro garage that will be willing to apprentice me to get my Automotive Service Technician Journeyman's ticket.

I got the job on Wednesday and told my employer that I won't be coming into work on Monday! :giggedy:

I have been just ecstatic all weekend, since this is a job that I've wanted for a very long time and have never had the opportunity granted to me.
I look so forward to my new job on Monday that I will probably lose sleep Sunday night. :D

My job starts with the R&R of a transmission in a 98 Windstar.

I just thought I'd let all you guys, my friends, know about this life changing turn of events. :)

I even went and picked up a real tool box to gather my tools on the trade all together in one spot.

Congrats on the move forward, and I hope it works to your complete satisfaction! :bravo:

That's straight pimpin' there! I know how destructive a bad job can be to your whole life-several years ago I had a job that I was perfectly qualified for technically, but was completely wrong for me. I too had trouble getting up in the morning. So, congratulations!

Congrats on finding a job that is exactly what you want. We spend so much of our life at work, that it's essential that we love (or at least enjoy) what we are doing. If you hate your job, you owe it to yourself, and your family, to find one that you really like.

Cool beans, Dippy!

Hopefully, pretty soon that toolbox won't be big enough to hold all your tools. :)

spraying bedliners sucks.

Nice goin' Dipster! Many congrats! That toolbox alone should cement you nicely into your new place of employment..... WOOHOO FOR YOU!

Thanks so much guys!

I'm half way through my first day and just lovin it! :giggedy:

It sounds like they want to put me through school as soon as possible! :giggedy:

Most excellant young man, happy for you.
You gotta work your ass off now to pay for the toolbox. Nice Piece

That Schrader-valve installation class isn't bad, beepsy. I'm sure you'll get at least an 80% on the test. If you need help, you have my cell number. :D

By damaged, you mean the toolbox has a Roughriders sticker on it, right?

Cool job. Enjoy!
