i am soo F-ing pissed off right now i cant think straight

got a transaxle sent from the east coast....mind you these transaxles are HARD to find in even remotly good condition..considering they only made em from 80-89 and most got hamfisted shifting trashing the syncro's...anyway this was a very lowmilage unit ....

ups managed to BREAK the primary mounting loop..thankfully the guy i got it from was smart enuf to put a 500$ insurance on it.......ups picked up the package monday...

heres where shit hits the fan.........i called ups to find out WTF..i was nice and plesant.....and was told "the package has been recived by the claims department it was recived on tuesday"..im thinking GREAT!!! they will be quick about things right?....."you are the reciever of the item correct?" yes i am "im sorry but you are not our customer..please contact the person who shipped it as i cannot give you any information as we do not see you as our customer...is there anything else i can help you with".....you could have told me that shit when you picked up the package:mad::mad::mad::mad:

soooooo now it looks like unless the shipper is going to be a good guy about this im fucked and may as well have lit 500$ on fire and watched it burn

ouch... What can brown do for you? bugger all.

I may have been screwed for a couple hundred on ebay. The seller never sent the item.

The rosy-eyed view of this: if the shipper was responsible enough to put insurance on it, then he might be upstanding enough to do the right thing.

yeah but what worrys me is he was suposed to split it into 2 packages and send me the clutch and brakes in a seperate package..wich he never shipped...otherwise the package would have been WAY over weight

needless to say im quite worried that im screwed

yep been there done this last time took them about two months to pay and i went the fed x way and guess what took about 8 months to pay yep and both were the same deal its a bad bad deal and those people will give u the run around i would find a ups person to deal with WRITE EVERYTHING down i mean everything tell your shipper who you called and i wish u luck and i hope u have patience and look up and dont cuss lol just be nice ull get it back

Do you have the shippers address? If the dude screws you over, pay him a visit. In my own personal experiences with dirt dag people were more than happy to give you your money back over losing the ability to chew solid food. Sometimes they even shit their pants when they see you on their door step:bwuhaha:

Very first question - did you know he/she were going to use UPS? And if answered in the affirmative, you knew that all hell was going to break loose. It would have stood a better chance of being delivered, and almost in the condition it was sent in if it was dragged by slow moving Himalayan mountain yaks and en route used as target practice by guns with bores larger than 15 inch.

Remember the UPS theme song....

We suck, we suck
Its you we're going to phuck
You're full of hope
Don't be a dope
It'll never arrive
Or to bust it? - we'll decide
Call us the best?!?!?
You're thinking of FedEx
We're UPS and
We suck, we suck
Creating "bad luck"
It's you we're going to phuck.

Remember the rule of thumb in deciding whether or not to use UPS.

If you can name every organism that has ever existed on this planet since the dawn of time (including every human) in alphabetical order - then use UPS. If not - use another courier. Even doing without is a vastly better alternative than using UPS.

Aww Man,That really sucks, big time!

I hate UPS! They just tried to put the boots to me for $50.00 for "Brokerage Fees" on a box of Radio Control truck parts[traxxas Marketplace trade deal gone bad]I told them Heck No take the stuff and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Here's hoping the guy you bought the trans-axle from is an honest man and does the right thing.:helpme:

my company shipped out a v-10 cylinder head on fed ex ground. Shipping clerk forgot to mark the 'insure at $' box. Fed ex lost the box, we lost $1050.
