That's what the transaxle did on my 04 Taurtoise when I started it up today.

The puddle was small and thick when I rolled back up to look at it. It then started to spread out and run. So, I know it just happened as opposed to a drip over a period of time.

I went to check the level and top it up so I could run it over to the dealer and I found the stipdick was popped up and loose.

The level actually seems just fine, though. Checked it three times, twice while running and after running through the gears...

Seems some sort of high pressure situation.

Dunno. Don't care. I hope it's dead.

I stuck the camera under there with one hand to see if I could get a snap of where it was coming from.
It's coming from everywhere. That's my technical analysis.
I took pics of the splooges on my driveway and the road too.

It's funny, the service advisor knows that I have a 69 Charger that I'm working on. He looks at me funny when I bring my car in. The fact is that it's a lease and I just don't care. I do the basic care and feeding and they can do the rest.

sticky seal at the pump? plugged vent?
that extra quart of oil you keep in the cowl area get chopped up in the fan? (whoops that was me).

What’s that? You have thirty thousand miles on that Taurus? Change the ball joints and align it.

Or just crush it

True dat. ;)
I even made a special jig for changing those, can swap those suckas out in under 15 minutes per side....while wearing a blindfold. :D

15min? Do tell! I just use my ball joint press. I pop the axle nut, push the axle out, and split the ball joint from the steering knuckle and drop it from the strut. It takes about 25 min. tell me how to save 10 min.

I leave the steering knuckle on the car, next time you visit remind me to show you the custom fittings I made for the portable press...it works pretty slick. :)

That'll never happen unless the parts fall off the car first.
I'm at around 79,000 kms right now. (11,000 more and I can kiss it goodbye.)
Leasing company is brutal at authorizing repairs.

This time, it wasn't so bad. Mostly just a labout charge.
It seems all the mechanic could find was a clogged vent tube that created an over pressure situation and that popped up the shtipdick out of the tube and that's where the fluid was hurled out of from within.

They cleaned it all up, put some dye in the fluid in case it, or another leak, happens again and called it good.

Last time, I had water in the tank. The dealer wanted to replace the fuel pump because it was warped and would likely cause problems down the road. Leasing company wouldn't have anything to do with it. I didn't see it, so, I don't know. If I had, I would have told them to replace it if the leasing company would let them. So, I guess I got where I was going to be without having to do anything.

I can feel a serious "chatter" in the brakes now. They were kinda there before but now, it feels worse. I'm not saying it's something they did, I'm just saying it's gotten worse - plus I was driving another vehicle that didn't have that problem so maybe I just notice it more now that I'm back in the Tuartoise.
