Bad Mojo in this little town

Why people continue to get those dogs just baffles me. JR's gonna get his butt sued to high heaven thats for sure.
 
We got the same thing here with the Pits. There's always noise about outlawing the breed and it boils over into a brouhaha and the legal profession makes a mint on commissions and then it dies down. Another death a year later and it begins anew.

Big, aggresive dogs are a huge responsibility. Unfortunately, it seems we can no longer require adult humans to take responsibility, so we have to outlaw the dogs.

It needs to be done.
 
And all we get is heroin overdoses in the Citgo bathroom. The dood was with his girlfriend and two others and keeled over dead. Being the good folks heroin users are, his two "friends" grabbed his watch, wallet, and all his cash, and left his girlfriend there to call the police.

At exactly what point in one's life do they reach the stupidity level that heroin seems like a good idea?
 
I knew a bunch of guys that got messed up in all that. One day one of them died and they just set him out beside a dumpster. No kidding.

The dog thing, not a big surprise, the 4 kids killed on prom night is a big shock. Both are symptoms of the same problem - weak economy results in police cuts, which draws the scum in like flies to crap.
 
I never even knew what drugs were until I went in the Army. I found out. Heroin was readily available in Germany and I saw what it can do to people firsthand. Its not pretty either. My live in has a friggin pitbull and I worry about the consiquences of its actions daily. It had pups last summer and a friend went over and picked one up and she nipped him pretty good. He has an open invitation to give her lead poisoning any time he wants to. I loaded my 44 Taurus and handed it too him but he said no. [smilie=e:
 
My neighbor has a pit. So far it ate the neighbor's (across the street) prize winning chickens, then chased his daughter down the road. The dog used to wonder in my yard all the time and try to rip into hanz's kennel run. The pit chased a cat into one of my green houses and tour 2 big holes in it, trying to get the cat.
He finally chained the pit up and fixed the broken fence. In the town I live in you do not have to put the dog down if they bit anyone, but u will get sued I’m sure.

I know GSD breed don’t have the best rap either, but I try to keep Hanz active and run him everyday so he can get his aggression and built up energy out. Its hard though cause his day begins when my day ends. Plus I bring him to meet new people once in awhile so he gets used to strangers. But he doesn't take well to strangers on his property, he is fine if he is out of his cage. But if he is in his cage and some one new is outside wondering around he will let me know. Its even worse if the stranger is near me and Hanz is trapped in his cage. But again if I let him out to the same guy he just was barking at, he licks him.
