The paint fumes have cleared so I'm
in Sarnia again after a week on the Carnival Destiny, in the Caribbean.
We had a great time!
Lots of sun, lots of food (didn't need that), lots of sights and some landscape scenery too.
Key West, Grand Caymen, Ocho Rios and Miami.
It was nice to get away, and leave all the real world crap behind, albeit for a short time.
If I ever win the Lotto, Jamaica is where you'll find me. :nanatar:I could learn to like Bob Marley quite easily, I think. Yea Mon.
B Body Victim and his wife came with us, adjoining cabins and a shared balcony. BBV and my wife went swimming with Stingrays.
We met people from all over the world, heard some great dialects & accents. Met a couple from Halifax, and found out the wife grew up about three miles from me in Cape Breton! Small world we live in.
I spent most of the time in a wheelchair - some mobility issues made the chair a neccessity - and was kinda disappointed at the lack of accessibility for handicapped folks, not too mention all the fat-assed people who would run you over getting to the buffets and the elevators. The amount of food wasted was shameful. Thankfully. those assholes were out numbered by the people with clues.
We're frickin' tired today, couldn't access the bus to take us on an Everglades tour in Miami yesterday, so we spent most of the day waiting at the airport. Got back to home last night around 1:30 or so.
Kinda congested from the combo of high temps & humidity, and frigid A/C on the ship.
If you ever get the chance to go to the Caribbean, go.
