My uncle is trying to find out what he's missing on his dash. Below the first small round gauge, there's what looks to be a place for a switch. I've seen most pictures have a block-off plate there. Is there something that COULD go there? If so, what is it?

Um - does he not have a FSM for that car fella?? It should show it there.

e-flasher? My 70 doesn't have it, in 70 it moved to the column.

He has one but he never mentioned anything about finding it there.

I also forgot to mention this is for a '68 Charger. I believe the flasher button is the red one on the left side.

I think you're right on the flasher ... but it's the switch next to the red thing. The red thing is the brake warning light.

I looked in my FSM and it doesn't even show the rallye cluster in 1970

It's either for the convertable top in a '68 R/T or it's to switch the speaker from front to back or I haven't got a clue what I'm talking about. [smilie=e:

That switch position is used either for the convertble top or rear window defogger. It is phisically impossible to have both.

Ya wanna know....ask a ragtop owner.

No, the 4spd indicator goes on the lower dash, not on the cluster.

I was thinking maybe convertible top switch, but found a 70 'runner ragtop that doesn't have a switch there

Service manual shows it's for a convertible top.

In the absence of that, the rear defogger switch would go in there.
