ATTN: Nuts

What a bunch of BULL$H!T[smilie=l:
Even on PRIVATE property?!?!?!?! That HAS to be unconstitutional!!!

In my opinion, that bill will need a ton of clarification before it can be enacted as law.

The spirit of the bill is to clean up the "private junkyards." It doesn't make any sort of allowance for the project that you just brought home - or the parts car that you are going to strip and then crush.

There has to be some grace period or a way to recognize progress.

However, if someone drags something home and then let's it sit and more pile up and nothing really seems to be happening in the way of progress, then, what they are proposing makes more sense. Even then it depends on the location. In a tight neighbourhood - it makes perfect sense. Outside of town where your neighbours are not even in site - bite me. It's my property and I'm not affecting anyone else.

Of course, on the flipside, this could change the old, "It's not for sale. I'm going to restore it one day." story that we get all too often.

I remember when the law first changed here back in the 80s. If they are within sight of a state highway or somebody bitches you have to move them. We slammed over a thousand cars that summer- thats how I paid for my harley. I always make it a point to work on the neighbors stuff cheap and we get along just fine. The local cops stop buy for parts too so Im cool.:giggedy:

Here in the Garbage State, if it ain't in an enclosed garage, it has to be registered insured and current inspection, even if its on private property and covered. I found this out the hard way...
