i need a power steering pump for a 71 duster with a 318...is there anyone that can help me out? also...i need a schematic for the belts on a non a/c 318...im getting to the point where im only going to run one belt off the alternator...need help :helpme:...someone near the san diego area...anybody...

run it with one.
should be a generic saginaw(?) pump....easy enough to find at a parts shop or wrecker. They are cheap. Does it leak? What is the problem with it?

don't they just run an idler pully in lieu of the a/c compressor? and the belts are still the same?

apples and oranges (or maybe not): in a pinch the air pump belt on an 87 van with 318
bypassed a siezed a/c compressor, ran the alternator and the fan.

on the dual pully alt. run the tight one on the inside for a week then swap them around ,if you have to have 2.

Non a/c 318 should have one belt from crank to PS and one (or 2 in your case) from crank to water pump to alternator

now i am running one belt on the alternator...now as for the power steering pump...im hoping that just the pulley is loose...it makes a funny buzzing type noise when i move the wheel...
