We get the same here in Sarnia, though it may be even more pronounced - it's not uncommon to have snow a few miles outside the city limits and get absolutely nothing here. Last winter heavy snow shut down the 402 highwway literally on the edge of the city...it was sunny downtown.... the way the weather seems to avoid this area I'm not too worried. A lot of the people in Upper Michigan refer to Dickinson County as "The Banana Belt", since for some reason it seems storms will actually split and go around us. They'll get a foot of snow 50 miles in any direction and we'll get maybe 2". :wtf: It's been like that as long as anyone can remember.
