i saw a Ray Barton ad in mopar action today from december '04 and it listed hi-flo stainless valves for $64 a set, 1.81 exhaust and 2.14 intake. anyone have these? they are almost half price from what ive been pricing at summit and jegs. sounds like a hell of a deal even if they have gone up some.

No. I have the Mancini valves of the 2.14 and 1.81 that I am using in my 906 heads I am doing for my 63. I think they were about $100. dollars. Ron

Not here either I ran Manley pro flow Stainless Steel Valves with undercuting and swirl polished. 2.14 and 1.81 in the 906 heads dopamean and I ported on the challenger

How cheap is a cheapo valve after its gone though a piston?[smilie=2: Ive ran manley for yrs but never heard of barton, mabeye they are good but theroetically you get what you pay for.

I have heard a lot about ray barton now he seams to be riding his reputation and selling repacked parts as differnt brands from what I have read from people they ripped off

well im gonna take a chance on the barton valves. the tech guy says they put them on 600hp engines all the time with no problem. were 78 a set. got comp cams retainers and keepers and springs. total with teflon seals came to 350. machine shop has quoted me 440 (ironic?) to shave the heads, cut seats for bigger valves, hard exhaust seats, bronze valve guides, machine 300 thousanths off the port side valve guides, cut for teflon seals, lap in valves. gonna have 800 dollars into this set of heads along with doing a template port job on them. hope its worth it
