I love a good sound system... but only in the daily driver, the mopar doesnt need a soundsystem it has one in form of a v8 :D

Yup! I managed a car audio store for a few years, never got it outta my system.
My Lincoln is almost all Alpine, 3 LCD's, DVD, MP3 Changer, Audio control equaliztion to pick up my sound stage a bit... 1 four channel Alpine, 2 matching case Alpine digital mono-bloc amps, all Alpine type R cabin speakers, and what ever sub I am in the mood for at the moment. :D
I love my music. :D

Yup XL is one 'O dem audiophiles, sweet set-up he has in that Lincoln. [smilie=e:
I also gotta have nice tunes. Have an Alpine head unit with Sony/Pioneer speaks and Jenson Amp in the RR. It's loud and clear enough to be heard over the roar of the 451. [smilie=c:
The 66 has a Kenwood head unit with Kenwood speaks and a Pioneer amp. Also have a nice sub-woofer that a buddy [smilie=:: provided for me but have yet to get a box and amp for that.
The Dakota is also set up with a nice system, amp, Rockford Fosgate box speakers ect.

$$$$ is tight right now and it's not a top priority...but it will find it's way in there, eventually. [smilie=e:

the charger has a older kenwood deck and some nice mtx 3 way speakers.
i have a mtx amp as well, but i have no ambition to put it in the car right now along with the sub that i have due to trying to get the stupid car running.

Yep love the audio stuff, just adjusted the heads on the ole 8-track!!

Hey hey hey backoff the turntable crowd. I've still got one and about 100 albums to play on it. The 39 has a complete Blaupunkt system in it. I like their stuff.

Are you kidding, I just found some seeds in my Black Sabbath album cover!! [smilie=2:
Hmmm, I wonder if they will grow? [smilie=e:

sounds like a cool setup XL!

i havnt bought a car-dvd yet.... planning on it but it will have to wait :)

I have a cheap mp3/wma head unit with dual low-level outputs, DLS UP5 front system powered by a Genesis Compact Four amplifier, and then i have a subwoofer box in the trunk with 2 x Rockford RFP 1210 subwoofers feed by a Genesis SA50 amp.

Works really good and those RFP 1210's almost pop out the windows in the car lol [smilie=2:

I have some pioneer and infinity equipment to install in the Fury, however until I do something about the cherry bomb mufflers (read straight pipes) its pointless.

Any recommendations on installation of front speakers. I will not chop the door panels. I don't think the mono speaker grill on the dash will cut it.

I installed 2 small speakers in place of the stocker in that spot in the RR.
Some creative brackets made it work. [smilie=w:

I've been into having a half-assed CD deck and a good set of speakers in the past but I've put a little more money into the stereo in the Neon this time (not as much as that phoney Ford of XL's but still more than I've spent in the past ). I've got a set of Lightning Audio Storm X1.65C 6.5" components for the front, Infinity Kappa 693.5i 6x9's for the back, Kenwood KAC-646X amp to power the speakers, Soundstream Rubicon Rub-Angina mono amp for the sub, Clarion SRW2581 10" sub, and Kenwood KDC-X869 head unit. Everything but the sub and head unit were bought off of E-bay.

The Barracuda has an ancient Sony tape deck with Rockford 5x7 speakers in the rear deck. I've got a cheap JVC CD player that will be going in one weekend when I have time.

Son's POS lazer Had killer system best I ever built ( he was working at Fry's Elect ) Tried a lot of different tweeters ended up with kicker's in front? But some one stole his sub wofer and amp .

About the turntable remark not only do I have a new turntable I have a 20's vintage 78 rpm wind up all mech (portable) from RCA Victor and about 30 78s. Now that is high tech.
