Anyone here have suggestions on getting a title?

I was looking to buy this little 54 DODGE truck for $500 but the owner never obtained a title and thus I wont get one if I buy it. I HATE messing with DMV and the truck was last registered/ titled in California. I know if I go to NV DMV, they will send me to Calif and then the hoops trial begins.

Any alternative. I also have a 70 challenger with no title that I need to get one for. Its also a California vehicle.

titles can be tricky or easy..it realy depends....if your not up to the task id just use a title company...personaly i hit up DMV with a bill of sale..and then they send me to the state troopers to run the rig and look it over extensivly for stolen parts and what not...afte that its back to DMV and a 3 month or less wait for a title...hell my ramcharger i didnt even have a bill of sale and it was the same deal...what i did learn is it was last registerd in arizona back in 78
