gathering parts like a squirrel gathering NUTS
what kind and what size ? did you make your own ? what size compresser are you using ?

im thinking aboot getting one .

or anyone want to sell thiers that they arent using any more ?

I don't have one, but I sometimes use the one at a buddy's machine shop. I'll tell you one thing-you better have a compressor with some NUTS to it. An $800 compressor won't do it. Hell, you probably have to get at LEAST to the $1500 range before it'll blast for a reasonable amount of time before you have to let it catch up. I'd say getting into the low 20's of cfm at 90 psi will be reasonable. It still won't keep up, but it won't fall behind too fast to be useful.

so i guess my emglo 1 1/2 hp 30 gallon compressor wont work .

Unless you're blasting for profit, I don't think "catch-up time" will be a major issue, I use a little craftsman to power a blaster, and i get plenty of work time before I lose steam.

No, not even remotely. Well, I guess you could get 3 or 4 seconds worth out of it, then it would need to recharge.

i was thinking aboot getting another tank as an air reserve to run it .

im not blasting for profit , i just want to clean up some of my stuff . and maybe pick up some other stuff at flea markets and auctions to clean and resell . i guess in away thats profit , but its not like im blasting parts for people for a price , basicly just something to do in the grudge f#cking off and drinking a few beers :) :toot:

A tank added to the system will help. It won't increase the AVERAGE time you spend blasting, but it will allow you to blast longer. You'll then have to wait longer, but maybe you can arrange it so that there's something else for you to do during those periods.
