Anti sway bar questions

So i picked up an a body anti sway bar at a swap meet awhile back. It measures 44 inches from one hole to the other.

I was planning on using it on the 67 dart, but it seems to be too wide. What is the measurement suppose to be? do i have a later A body sway bar?
Anybody have any good pics of how they mount up on the lower control arm for the 67 dart?

If the '67 did not have an anti-sway bar, you will need to find lower control arms from an A-body that was equipped with a sway bar because your lower control arms do not have the mounting points on them. The outer ends of the anti-sway bar attach to links that bolt to brackets that are welded to the front of the lower control arms.

Plus you will need to buy a pair of link kits and the brackets and bushings to mount the anti-sway bar in the engine cross member.
Unfortunately I can't show you any photos since I ditched all that gear when I decided to build my Dart for drag racing.

But if my foggy old memory isn't too far gone, you should be able to use parts from nearly any a-body from '67 up to 1975 or 1976.
Just remember that with the exception of a few six cylinder drum brake cars,Ma Mopar changed to a much beefier lower ball joint at the end of the 1972 model year when they introduced the full size[big bolt pattern] disc brake set up.

I've owned upwards of thirty '67 to '76 A-bodies so feel free to give me a shout if you run into any trouble figuring out what you need .

And I will see if I can find you some pics of the factory set up.

ill dig out my factory swaybar lower arms and snap some pics and measurements..as for the bar itself...post a pic with measurements....that actualy sounds like the right bar

on a side note there is another a-body sway bar setup that went THRU the k member
