Guys, many of you know Lynda Marshall. I'm not sure if she still posts to this site, but I thought I'd send a word out that she lost her husband Mike to cancer. He passed on Sunday Feb. 26th. here is the obituary I found on the funeral home's website. He will surely be missed by all that knew him. [smilie=a:
[B]After a brief, courageous struggle with cancer, Mike passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, on Sunday, February 23, 2014, in his 62nd year. Beloved husband of Lynda (Perrow). Loved son of the late George and Frances Marshall. Dear brother of Judith, Linda, Charles and George. Mike was an avid drag racer and will be sadly missed by all of his friends in the racing community. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 27 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario Veterinary College-Pet Trust Fund, would be appreciated by the family. Is that Moparlady? She hasn't been around in awhile, but I wondered about her the other day when I saw a picture in the banner. Rest assured, our thoughts and prayers are with her right now. :(

Have not seen Moparlady here in a long time. So sad to hear that her husband has passed away. My thought and best wishes go out to her, and her family.

Damn. Mike was a cool guy. I always enjoyed bumping into him at the Welland cruise-in.

Oh man that's to bad. Wish I knew what to say at times like these.

Mike........Miss you my Love.

Well, here I am. I thought about you guys today, wondering if you knew. I am a mess. The love of my life is gone. I am so thankful for all the good friends we/I have, I know I can call any one of them at a moment's notice for anything, even just to talk. I even got a sympathy card from Patt Schertzer and all the Moparfest gang today......I have no idea how they knew. Obviously the Mopar grapevine is in full swing. I appreciate all your thoughts and prayers, and 76Beeper, I was so glad to see you and Les at the visitation. I am so humbled to see how many people.....friends, racers, Mopar people, classic car people, and others......came to the visitations, and to the funeral. He was dearly loved. I will miss him and love him for the rest of my life. Thanks everyone.

Really sorry to hear about Mike's passing. I know how it leaves a very big space in your heart. Stay strong and continue on, as that is what he would want for you. All of us on the board are here for to support you in any means we can. The Mopar Nation will carry on and remember that he was a part of it.

It was good to see you as well Lynda. I just hope that you'll still come out to the cruize nights and Mopar shows. I'm sure, everyone would still like for you to come out.
