Another one getting ready to go

The paint fumes have cleared so I'm
This poor old 74 Dart never looked so good.
Rear quarters, door bottoms, front fenders (fiberglass), lots and lots of blocking, lots more blocking and then some colour and clear.
Our new painter/apprentice did a fairly nice spray job with the Sienna Metallic. :)

A warmed up 318 with some mildly ported small valve J heads, Comp Cams bumpstick, Hedman headers, duals, a factory 70 340 intake and a 600 Edlebrock should make it a nice driver.

I'll post more towards the end of the week before it leaves the shop.

Well, at one point you were all about saving a '73, Nodda. The only difference was engine availability, for all intents and purposes. Well, that and the fact that yours was a much-prettier fastback body.

How about some adult sized pictures? :) Looks like a nice color, brown cars make me want a root beer. :)

Don't misunderstand. I'm impressed that someone is spending the time and money to make a later-year car right again. Especially given the unlikelyhood they will ever see any financial reward from it should they ever sell it. It's obviously a labour of love and that's more than alright by me.

Saw a chestnut metallic (same colour our demon was) Dart Sport on the road the other day - all factory original but with a fresh shiny new coat of paint. I want that car.

Then there was a '73 - up Dart swinger at the Southey Mopar meet last weekend with a very healthy sounding small block that had me sweating.....(It was for sale.)

Same color as I put on my 71 Duster. Stands out even nicer with Black side stripes. :giggedy:
