i finnaly gone and done it...after 30 years of ridding dirt bike...ive now got my moto endorcement...yup im free to tear up the streets on 2 wheels

had the truck and trailer so i went and dropped the truck off at the 40 and took the back roads out of there..a bit of gravel..felt right....got to "un-marked" pavement and felt like i was stretching my boundrys as it just didnt feel right...got to the lined and marked road and was like ummmm this isnt right this is where you turn around cause you shouldnt be on pavement at all.....

after a few corners im just a giggling fool..being cautious cause of the semi wet road and leaves...after going a few miles thru the twisties i relaxed up and started laying into it..got to one of the LONG straights and cracked her wide open..at the end of the straight slowing for a hard corner i look down to see 85mph lol...took alot of winding smooth long back roads home and all i can say is...damn thats fun why in the hell didnt i do it sooner?!?!?!?!?!?...came across more than a few cops......and the bike isnt "plated" yet but i got a trip permit in my pocket..not one of them even bothered

im still grinnin like a fool.......now off to BC for a week+ then when i get back ill deal with getting it plated and get some serious seat time under my belt

Cops will never bother a biker in the spring or fall. Rookies only ride in fair weather. The cops figure anyone stupid enough to ride in this weather is too hard core to be a rookie.

HAHAH well with 30 years of dirt under my belt i wouldnt exactly say im a rookie...just new to street TIRES...the flicks and twists the road throw at me are no different than the blasting ive done down mud/gravel roads at 60+mph in the snow/rain etc...im sure the grease and oily crap now and then will be intresting lol but i expect it

i put 50 miles on it taking the long way home......then...went up to taco bell and got lunch with it and brought it home...HAHAH

Heh, heh.....

I rode all last winter. Nobody messed with me, in fact I seldom got cut off unlike the summer months where someone tries to kill me weekly. Seems someone riding in the dead of winter captures folks attention.:D

Glad to see you got your street cred 69, just watch out for the oblivious ones day dreaming in their rolling steel cages. Riding a bike on the street can make one feel like the invisible man at times.

im pretty well used to driving in some of my cages and being invis....so its second nature to be making a million calculayions and always see the way out if all hell breaks loose

momand my girl both told me not to take it to bc yet

Congrats there 69!! I almost expected to see you in bare feet, or flip flops, when I clicked on that photo of you on the bike....:D Glad to see steel toed boots on ya.

oh hell the only reason ya ever saw me like that on the quad on the 40 was well...when im being gentle on the quad thats one thing but 2 wheels demand protection regardless of speed and location

get this..i hit up the local dealer clearance sale on the 5th...picked up that cop style full helmet flip visor drop down shade opening jaw...the armored waterproof pant and coat all for a total of...90$...what im still after is the full tilt buckled motocross boots....steeltoes will do ..for now
