A Wagoon for me?

Well.... If it works out the way i want it to.... Next Friday i very well could be the owner of a 1970 Monaco Wagon.... It's a 383 2bbl and in very decent shape.... My mom says im nuts for wanting it.... I like it.... I posted a link with pics in it a couple weeks ago.... i'll find the link and add it.... the paint leaves ALOT to be desired.... but, all in all the car is in good shape.... think it's what i was meant to drive.... :dance: and the best part is.... i can get it for $500.00.... Will talk to the owner tomorrow and see if we can work out a deal.... will give y'all updates as the week progresses.... :shifty:

Looks decent, trade gas mileage for dependability, if it's a work ride /grocery getter you won't notice. I drove a 71 polara wagoon for a year in HS nice cars.

its that car.... some guy that works in a speed shop owns it now... says he bought it this week or last.... he's askin 800 for it.... but told me 550 if he can take the ac stuff off of it.... yeah davey thats the wagon i was talkin about before....

as far as the paint thing... the guy painted the inside of the back windows.... and painted on the outside of the back windows.... i will give whoever painted all the graphics on the car credit.... it was done really well.... if the guy agrees to wait until friday to sell it.... i will take some close up shots of some of the pinstriping....

probably weren't a 440 like he wished "oh boy oh boy dizzy in front" :giggedy: or was told:naughty: and didn't know of "the pad"

knocked 300 bucks off my Macho truck cuz the dealer ASSUMED it was a 440, when instead it was a 400

It says in the ad from craigslist that it needs a trans service.... they guy says he bought it mainly for the a/c stuff.... he has a 70 Monaco also.... not sure if its 2 or 4 door? :huh:
But, the car is cool.... i will find out tomorrow if he can wait til friday.... it'll give him time to take the A/c stuff off right.....

well... i think ive talked myself out of the wagoon... i remember the previous owner saying it had trans problems or something like that... and its just not something i really want to get into right now... it sucks because i like the car and its just the whole limited funds thing right now.... maybe someday i will own another old mope... it just wont be as soon as i'd like it to be....
