Clamps: Around 100,0002015 Jeep Compass and Patriots are being recalled to inspect and, if needed, move a clamp that holds a low-pressure power steering hose in place. Some vehicles made during a five month period this year may have had the clamp placed incorrectly, which could eventually result in the sudden loss of power steering fluid. No injuries or accidents are known now; and if it fails, steering is not lost, but power steering is, so it can be very hard to move the steering wheel. Incidents mostly involve cars with low mileage,suggesting that the problem occurs quickly if at all.
