A little taste of home...I guess

Well, I'm planing my route through Tokyo to find my schools location.

As long as they get me the ticket for the Toei Oedo line, I wouldn't have much of walk. The platform comes out on the corner of Meiji Blvd (yes, that is the road ) and directly across the street, behold, the Golden Arches themselves. So I guess if I ever get homesick, I can just go pick up a hamburger (maybe a chicken McSushi ). Funny thing is, their McDonalds is healthier than the ones here, so I won't get AS fat if I just eat their food for a month or so LOL.

But otherwise, I'm really getting excited to go, even more so now that I have a free tour awaiting me...I might pick up another SD card or two so I can save all the pictures :giggedy:

Not yet, getting closer. I'm currently in the final paper work and wait mode.

Once my passport comes in (which should be in a few more days) I then can get my student visa's and find out if I'm living with a host family. As well as trying to find the best priced plane ticket. Right now, I'm just learning the city through maps so I don't get to lost when I head to school for the first time, hence the Mcdonalds thing...I'm more of a landmark person.

Yeah, I just hope I have enough room and batteries. Because I'm not sure how much money I'll have.

Ok from what I remember of Japan traffic (keep in mind I lived in Okinawa not the mainland where you'll be) it's about as bad a N.Y. traffic so alot of people use public transportation there. Your feet will be your best bet unless you will be living away from the big city then traffic won't be so bad. Just gotta get used to driving on the other side of the road from the passenger seat and shifting lefty. :doh:
