Probably fairly rare too, most of them rusted away - per the Marti, 1475 were built with the 429SCJ Drag Pack

That gigantic trans cooler and lines aren't factory, are they?

Not bad at all.

There was a very nice 429 CJ Torino around here in the early 90s.
Yellow, auto, looked to be pretty much original.
Supposedly, it was a quick machine, but no one seems to really know what happened to it.

There's a black '70½ Cobra (some would call it a Falcon Cobra) in the next county over that shows up at their big show every year. The Falcon is the same basic body style, but it's a post coupe with what passed for a formal roofline in '70. It's a 4.30 Drag Pack 429 SCJ and has been a hot rod its whole life--it still is, and it sounds wicked.. It's also apparently one of less than 100 built. No radio, no carpets--the radio was an option and I don't even know if you could get carpet in the midsize Falcon.

My favourite kind of muscle: the go-fast bare-bones machines.
There's a very nice goldish-coloured '70 Falcon around here, a 351C car. I lust after that thing every time I see it.

there was a yellow ranchero GT 429 CJ that was almost my first car, dunno what happened to it, as it was litteraly 2 streets over, clean as all get out coulda passed for showroom
