Looking for a front bumper, passenger window, and the radio and the housing. People that broke the window also broke the radio housing to get the radio out and to beat all the door wasn't even locked. If anyone knows of any of these parts pm me.
If you were claiming this on insurance, the damage listed would be cause to total the car. Sorry if it seems blunt, but that's the case... Festivas are easier cars for which to get parts.
Another reason or two you might have trouble finding those pieces: The Aspire never sold worth a damn so there aren't many around, and junkyard operators generally put them in the "straight-to-the-crusher" pile. I would have to rate the Aspire as the most disposable car I've ever encountered excepting the Yugo. I've spent a lot of time in boneyards and I've never seen one.
Ok, actually there is a '95-'96 Ford Asspile at a yard not far from here that the guy hit a deer with and IIRC the side windows and radio are still in it.
I wasn't bashing it; it just seems like no one keeps 'em around once they break--hence the "disposability factor." If I recall, those cars were cheap to buy and pricey to maintain and repair.
Gas prices being what they are, we've been selling a lot of econo-box parts of late to folks that are dragging their old wrecks out from the back 40 and putting a few bucks in 'em rather than keep feeding their pickups and SUVs. Lots of K-car, Cavalier, Escort, and Sunbird stuff, and I don't think I sold so many Festiva parts when those cars were relatively new. We helped a father/son team revive a '74 Pinto, and I even sold a set of half-shafts for an '88 LeMans . Nary a call on Aspire parts, though--they just seem to get thrown away.
Like I said, I've never even seen one in a wrecking yard and I've been to quite a few. Just found a new one last week, though, and if I can get back out there, I'll have a look just in case.
