I seem to recall reading something about a GTC here recently.

Damned if I can find it again.... I think it was Jass.

I just saw an ad for a 92 lebaron GTC for less than $5k Canookian.
Convertible, red, grey interior, V6, 5-spd...
says 1 of 232 :hmmm:

(then again I saw a 57 Plymouth with a 69 440 for much less and it's a lot closer.. :gaga: I'm so forked up.. I'll probably think about both for too long..)

Good? Bad? What to look out for?

I'm thinking it'd be a nice "chick" car for my wife, but I want to know if I'll have any fun when I drive it myself...

No idea WHICH V6 is in it, but I suspect that the GTC will dictate that - I don't know what it is though.

It's a 3.0L. Find out if it's ever had the cylinder-head TSB on it; if it has it should be a gem.

The 6 is probably the mitsu 3.0L. Not a bad engine, just make sure the head gaskets have been done check for oil leaks aroundth camshaft seals and valve covers. Have owned 3 of them over the years with few complaints. Actually 2 out of the 3 never had a moments problem. Did the previously mentioned head gaskets on the third one. The 5 speed I have no idea about. The autos had a tendency to grenade themselves.

The only problem with the 3.0 is if the water pump goes. It is an internal unit and a partial tear down is required. Shops take between 4 to 5 hours with the use of a hoist. On axle stands and the floor makes it a bit longer. But if you have 3 pumps to replace due to premature failure in just over a year you sell the sob real quick.

my sis had a cirrus with the mitsu 3.0 in it, it was a dog. I think i could have blown passed it on my bicycle.

That might have been it... but my dad swears that it was a 3.0. Maybe he's just going senile.

well ..'fun' can be defined alot of ways.....verts are generaly fun...under powered cars are only fun if equiped with a turbo or a 5spd
