I got sick of dragging garbage around in my clean truck so I bought this. ;)
I found it at a gas station local to my moms farm.
The guy wanted $2400 when I first saw it, and I snickered cause there was no way in hell I thought he would get it. Anyway, kids apparently took out all the front and side glass with a baseball bat one night, so he was looking to get rid of it fast now....how much? $1800. I drove a way snickering. :D However, upon slugging a few more pieces of crap onto my trailer, I got to thinking....I went for the quick drive and actually LOOKED at the thing....long box, no real rust, dry underneath and it ran reasonably well. anyway, I told him I was interested but I only had one offer (so I lied. ;) ), and told him I would drag it off for $400 and a full tank of gas. He said he would do that for $500, which was still $150 less then what I was willing to pay, so I bit. :giggedy:
So now I have a groovy little "wind in my face" work truck. I have since removed all the windsheild, and under the glass I found two nice velour buckets, a sliding rear window, a center console and a really good running truck, for a 3.9.... :)
So off I went, loaded my trailer and the back of the truck with garbage and did a few dump runs! worked like a charm!
Sooooo, now I get to thinking....I have the 360/727 from the V8 Voyager...should I swap it in? I even have a B bod 8.75....all I need are engine mounts! Dustergal? :helpme:
So here it is, oh! What are the rims from? They have a rams head, are they optional ones? they are 16".... anyone?

Sweet exhaust. :D Looks pretty good otherwise. I think you should leave the Voyager as-is and swap in another SB.

Yeah, leave the Voyeur van alone.
(That's not a typo.)

Drop that thing into the weeds, fart can it and ad some stickers. Then the kids will let you cruise with them downtown. ;)

Our homemade mounts have held up great even thrashing on the dragstrip. Saved us $400, cause you can buy them...but dang! They ain't cheap.

I can have pigpen come on here and tell you how he made 'em. Heck, if you can wait a bit, we want to drop a 440 in our Dak and you could have our old mounts. But the way plans change around our place...who knows when that might happen? :D

Anyway...cool score! Gotta love them little trucks.

I gotta admit, other than the fact it is so slow I could run next to it at full throttle, it rides pretty well. :)
Dusterdarling....think I could talk him into fabbing me up a pair for a few bones? :nanna:
so leave the Voyager, huh? Hard call....the tranny needs to come out for service anyway, and I still need some more body work done on it. I dunno, this truck thing is soooo handy. :D
Moparman, believe it or not, the exaust is kinda neat, sans boom tubes....goes in one, comes outta a huge muffler as two. I thought one would be a total fake. ;)

Hmmmm, I dunno if he could...he fabbed ours up with the engine in place and used pieces of wood and stuff to line everything up (yeah, i said wood)...

I'll have him come on here and post when I can catch him, he just ran outside again. He's always busy doing something. :D

Move it, greggles! :D
I wouldn't turf it...just send it down the line to onna youse fiiiine fulks. ;)

Drop in the 360 and smoke the tires all the way to the dump. :D

With a sure-grip in the rear it would be a hella fun pick-up. I really liked the one I had, except for the wimpy 3.9 it was a great driving lil hauler. ;)

The motor mounts are easy to make, I only set myself on fire once during the process. You might be able to extend the existing mounts forward. Mine are pretty hack looking due to the fact I wasn't very sober while making them hence the flaming me, but they work. I had to clearance the tranny tunnel where the firewall and floorpan pinch weld together to fit a 727 in there.

If you set yourself on fire once while you weren't sober can you imagine what XL will do on his meds. He can almost set things on fire just by looking at it let alone with a welder in hand.[smilie=f: :D :bwuhaha:

good place for it- don't come to Collingwood- the boy's here will see it and pull ya away!!!!!!!![smilie=f: [smilie=f:

about the rims, i don't think they are factory they don't look like any i have seen , the center caps may have fit those rims from another set and by the looks of that pic where the front one is missing it looks like the grease cap is sticking out which also mean they are not likely factory.
btw i could have told you how slow the non-magnum 3.9s are, my 90 was like that to lol :)

The wheels are factory Intrepid wheels, which have the same bolt pattern as the old RWD Mopars and five-lug Dakotas.
