Well, David, I was going to ask you for pics of the car now........you beat me to it! I did not know it was an original sassy grass car. A lot more exciting than brown........

Should be awesome when finished. Will you keep it then, or planning to sell? :hmmm:

Very nice car!!

My two cents, and my opinions only....I have a soft spot for old drag cars. And since you have a bunch of pics of the car in "as raced" trim, if it were my car I would restore it to the way it was raced...well close to at least. I would repaint and re-decal the car, run the same type of rims and try and get the car to look "close" to original but converted to drive and cruise.

But what ever you do to your car will be cool.;)

Hey, nostalgia drag racing is BIG these days. Mike belongs to the Ontario Nostalgia Drag Racers (ONDR, for short), and they run events at the different tracks throughout the season. Would be a hoot to see that car back on the track............eh, David? [smilie=f:

It has crossed my mind what I was going to do with the Runner...Back to 'factory' or back to 'race'. As much as I like the drag car look especially with its history, 'factory' still won out...However, when it is done, I was planning on reproducing all the graghics on magnetic backing so I can put them on for shows and can take them off easily.

Sassy grass sure is a hot colour for these b-bodies, I just don't have the heart to put that S****y goldy/brown colour back on her..just wouldn't be right. My plan was always to keep her, but you never know the future.

Well going the Sassy color with the original decals and wheels would look good!!

Maybe have a set of spare rims in the orignal configuration...with updated tires...just for when you put the graphics on.

COOL idea! I like it! :giggedy:

Yeh...I also thought of the rims and tires too but they might be hard to find. I guess it wouldn't be that big a deal to put modern tires on it if I can find the rims...
