Well my daughter said it sounded like thunder outside. I guess the 360 with headers and 2 1/2 exhaust having its first startup might explain that. Sounds nice and mellow. :( Sad thing is I got some fixing and investigating to do. Oil light stayed on  . Seal at the fuel pump fitting has to be reflared to stop a leak. Went out to order a new oil pressure sending unit and pick up a manual oil pressure guage to install and mount. Never did like the "idiot lite by itself. Will start with those and then after that I guess will have to check wiring for good contact thru the firewall. It was nice to see it finally fire up. Hoping that the motor runs okay as I dont want to have to rebuild it quite yet. It only has 130k km's. Had to put a new water pump in it already but that was understandable as it sat for over 2 years while I was getting everything else ready. Had an initial problem with no spark but a quick check of the manual for the electronic ignition showed I needed a good ground on the ignition module which I quickly resolved and then just added some gas down the carb and away she went.I will still have to time it as when I did the change over to electronic I just dropped the dist in as close to I could get it in relation to where I pulled the old one out from. The engine is not going to know what happened to it as it used to be hooked into a 2bbl leanburn system and now it has a thermoquad on top. [smilie=:: It is a nice feeling to hear some rumbling after all this time. I'm sure I got oil pressure as I don't hear any lifter knocking or anything out of the ordinary. Will soon find out when I get the guage hooked in. Will try to post some pics soon.
