Hey all you yarders! I saw an ad in Hemmings from a guy looking to buy these with 2.76 and 2.92 ratios only. They've gotta work. He doesn't care about axles or anything else just wants the center section. Pays 125 to 150 each. The ad reference 1968 Dodge, but that may just have been to get the ad in the right section - not sure.
He can have the picjed up too - I imagine that depends on the location though.

Wow, he must not know how little they're worth. If he looked around, he could probably get a boatload of them for free, or just paying shipping and a little bit extra for the trouble to ship them.

It'd be worth it to send him an e-mail to see if he does need it to be a 68 - then tell him what years cross over..... all?

He'd prefer multiple unit deals as opposed to running around picking up one here and one there.. that makes sense.

So, if any of you are reasonably near him (White Bear, MN) and can put some time into digging them up, you could put some pretty good coin in your pocket - just in time for Christmas.

Actually, NOT all years directly interchange. Axle splines changed when they went to the big bolt pattern on a bodies, I believe '73. I know because I tried to just swap axles between a '70 valiant and a '76 dart to get the big bolt pattern stuff on the valiant. That's when I found out that the splines had changed-the axles wouldn't slide into the carrier. This guy may not care, but it's something to keep in mind.

should just hook up a trailer and go, I could hit about 8 yards on the way, a dozen if I zig-zagged. Is he that busy or do you think he's called around like a 100 mile radius?

i know a guy that pays $100 for them. they have to be the earlier style. he mods them to fit in cubcadet pulling tractors. i`m not sure exactly whats done to them but i take all i can get and take them to him $$$
