69 Satellite Stock ride height

Duskybird

In up to my neck!!!!!
I don't have my notes with me. Can someone please tell me the measurement from the door sill to the ground? Thanks

Ride height is measured at the lower control arm. Measure from the bottom of the torsion bar adjuster blade to level ground..we'll call this "A".

Then measure from the lowest point on the bottom balljoint to level ground..we'll call this "B".

Ride height = "A" minus "B" and should be at 1 7/8" + or - 1/8" for the 66-70 Belvedere/Satellite

Straight from the specs book. :)

I guess I should have mentioned that the car has no suspension in it at the time. I'm trying to clearance the steering and the exhaust.
Thanks.

Yah, guess that was no help at all. :D

Perhaps 68 R/T or one of the other guys/gals with a 66-70 B-body could take a measurement for ya....:hmmm:

Are you measuring from the base of the door, or underside of the car? What size tire and wheel are you using. I can go put some air in my tires and get some measurements tomorrow or Saturday. ( it'll be from a '70 4dr Satty with 14's on front and 15"s on back.

Just got hold of my notes. I never took this measurement so if someone could get it to me I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks

I took 2 measurements, from the floor of my garage to the underside of the rocker is 9". From the floor to the bottom of the door is 11.5". Hope this helps you some.
