'69 Runner, can ya tell I love my car? :)

Explain Family owned. I curious because I am saying that my cuda was family owned since new, father-in-laws aunt special ordered it, father - in -law bought it off aunt and gave it to my wife on her 16th b-day, they sold it to aunt and uncle who drove it home and let it sit since, I bought it back from them for myself, is that still family owned since new??

Well, I was with my mom when she bought the car new, it changed hands to me an no one else. That would more emulate the term I use, but they's a lot of veriables in the term itself. My name is on the title now so it's not a one owner car car anymore. "original owner" an "family owned" are 2 different things in the monitary sence, but in my opinion it should'nt take anything away from the car cause the car hasn't been "out of your sight" so to speak. You would be the 5th or 4th owner dependin on weither your Father-in-law put his name on the title or just bought it an gave it to your wife. It went through more members of your family than mine did, but if it's been in your immediate family the whole time, I would consider "family-owned" an accurate description. But if the car was in your in-laws family before you joined the family, then I don't reallly think you can tecnically use that term, no offence.

that looks real clean and nice! I have a question, who put the chrome pkg. on the decklid? that's non RR,you order it that way? or put it on later? It's part of a pkg. that the rest of your car doesn't have.just curious......

69x9x9, there's no chromework on the decklid, you must be confusing some reflection, I myself don't see a reflection there that would indicate a chrome package. There's no trim on the car whatsoever. Nope it's pedigree Road Runner, I still have the dealer window sticker...

Groovy mags they are LOL, I just thought they looked right. That's a funny story too, I found them at a local wreckin yard. I walked in and told the guy what I was lookin for an he says "got a set in the back lot" So we walk out there and there they were on another '69 Runner, I wouldn'ta believed it if I hadn't seen it myself LOL. The rest of the car was gutted of coarse. I'd gone back about a year later some something for my other car and asked if it was still there and they said somebody'd come and bought it to make a racecar out of it so it got a 2nd lease on life, that made me happy too

I think 69 is talking about the trim on the tail panel part of the lid - between the tail lights.

See the pics below.

This might make for another MOPAR "oddity" story.
Since you've known the car all of it's life, do you remember if that trim piece has always been there?

Kind of neat if it came like that. It would be interesting to track the story down.

Hmmm, if you're talkin about the in-set on the back of the trunk lid, nope there's nothin there 'cept for the 'Runner name and the bird in the center.

Ah jeez!

I just copied the pic into a photo program and zoomed in.
There's nothing there.

Sorry.

Oh! and get a better picture! [smilie=n:

heheh just kidding.

It's too bad actually. You could have had one of the weird things to come out of a MOPAR plant. Not the weirdest, but weird none the less.

"Oh! And get a better picture!"

LOL, that's funny cause I tried to today! But for some reason it said the pic was too big. That's funny 'cause the ones I posted above worked an it was with the same camera [smilie=e:

Sport Sattelites and GTXs have a pot metal insert in there sometimes but not runners. [smilie=e:

Exactly what 69 and I were on about.

But if you look at the picture, what looks like that insert, it's just a reflection.
