64 Valiant 4x4....

thrashingcows

Drowning deep in my sea of loathing...so I'm
Kind of a neat vehicle...but the wood work inside is amazing!! Is it right for the vehicle...well you decide...:shifty:

I can appreciate the work involved with the dash, but I don't like it at all. If it's a Buick 340, I'm guessing it's an ancient Wagoneer chassis, too. I'd bet it's a real hoot when trying to find parts for it. A bad idea whose time never came and never will.

Whoever did that woodwork should forget about doing automotive interiors and design and build exotic furniture for the weirdos next door to him in California.

Otherwise, I like the early A's, and my affinity for wagons is well documented. I've never had much attraction to the 4-wheel drive scene, but it does give the val whole different look. And like doc pointed out about the Buford power giving hints to the age of the drivetrain. Although the Buford 340 was never known as a real Hi-Po motor it's still a rock solid runner. At least it's not another sbc.

I love the look. However, the inside makes makes my head hurt in unexplaineable ways! I'm a fan of wood carving but, wood does not belong in cars and, that's just way too busy of a dash!

I'd like the dash if it were, let's say a mantle or something, much to busy for a car interior. I like 4X4's, just not in cars :dgt:.

I wonder how long ago it was built :hmmm:

That was my thought too. Nice to see something odd bad, in an odd ball. :D

Anyone have pics of the wood work. Id like to see that but the auction has ended and the only pic there is the one posted.
