512 for sale ( cheap ? )

My machine shop has a 512 they built fron std 440 block and 440 source parts, the customer now wants to sell it he wants a magablock.
The bottom end is all togather internally ballanced flat top pistons the seller is calling them 12:1s and 440 source list a flat top with a victor size combustion chamber at 12.6:1 so that may be it.

I would stop working on the 383 for the truck if I got this I would want to run 88cc combustion chabers like on the edy performers.

Motor has not been turned over no oil pan or oiling set up just a short block completly put togather by a MoPar freak ( he has more then me... )

price is 2,000 will talk to them later today what do the experts here think? I think it is cheap..
 
2k...and your ASKING...i woulda snapped that shit up already....price it up piece by peice..price out the machine work ect a,d you will be looking at around 3-4k depending on the machine shop and where the parts came from ect

Add the new 440Source Stealth aluminum heads (due out next spring) for $899 a pair complete. Then throw in a good single plane intake and an 850 carb. IMHO, you could have an aluminum headed big inch stroker for about the same price as building up the 383...:bravo:
