I saw a pretty nice looking car on the side of the road while oot n aboot today.

Model:Dodge Monaco or PolaraDPrice Class:HighHBody Type:2 door hardtop23Engine:318ci V8 2bbl (LA motor)FYear:19699Assembly Plant:Windsor, ON (Canada)R

I did a quick couple of walkarounds and a cursory glance underneath and other than maybe recovering the seats and a new carpet, this thing looked pretty clean. No rust or bubbling anywhere - even the vinyl top was nice.

The sign says $5000. A bit much, maybe, but if it's running and ready to go, maybe not so bad... watcha think?

Sorry for the crappy pics. I took them from the car.

What, you can't get out of the car to take better pics? Lazy so and so.....:D

That's one sweet looking ride, would be damn proud to cruise that. There was a black one of the same vintage tooling 'round here a couple years back, young kid had it...wonder if he still does. :hmmm:

Even if it's rust free and clean that price may be a tad high...or not. ;)

Oooo.....I likes them black C-bodies. Nothing strikes fear in the heart of a ricer like a gigantic black whale swimming up beside them at a stop light :D

$5000 for the white car? I'm not sure. I think I'd call and offer $4000-4500.

If it is as good as it looks, and is ready to drive away in, then I'd say $5000 isn't too bad.

There's not much left nowadays in that price range, and for something basically road-ready....

I did walk around the car twice, but had left my camera in the car..
my sales guy was getting a little pissy, so I just snapped the pics from the car.....

If anyone's interested in it, PM me and I'll give you the number.
I think this one is neat, but I just checked the pickle jar and there's no $5K in there for toys right now.

I might get back out that way within the month and can snap more pics if it's still around.

Its a 69, more than likely a small block under the hood. Those went for less than 3 new- the dealership I worked for sold LOTS of those. 5 seems a little spendy but with the price of stuff these days its probably about right I guess.

It's a '69 "canadian" dodge monaco, the one with the upside down '70 Cuda grill,,,my buddy had one for sale in Ottawa, and couldn't get $2500 for it all last summer, and it was a daily driver, but his was the F8/F8 color scheme,

Ive got 2 sets of push bumpers almost identicle to those. One for the service truck and another for the 500 polaris.:toot:

I'm pretty good Dave, how ya' doin' restoman ?,those cars were '69 monacos in canada, polara's stateside,,,
