this is a 4spd that is going to be at a local auction . does anyone know what it is ? it looks like a BORG WARNER T-10 but the long tail shaft is making me think not worth going to the auction to bid on it .
Muncie were aluminum and B-W 4 spds were cast w/aluminum tailhousing, Saginaws were cast iron 3-spds with a 2" sectione added before the tailshaft for the additional gear. 55 - 57 GM's used the long tailshaft without a tailshaft mount. 58 went to a short tailshaft w/mountpad.
The bolt pattern looks to be furd and 'cuz I only see 2 linkage hookups it's only a 3 spd.
had meoneodem shitty saginaws dis was a4gear POS in a 76 Cramaro 350 4bbl! i carried a jack and stand with me the damn linkage liked to jam up a lot!
