4 speed pedal question?

Does anybody know if 4 speed pedals for a c-body are the same as any other body style? Specifically its a 66 Fury I need the pedals for.

While I'm at it, anybody know of a set of C-body pedals anywhere? I don't need the linkages just the pedals and hangers/brackets?

Thanks for any info.

Nope C-bodies were there own animal. 65-68 C-bodies all share the same assemblies But C-bodies did things differently as well....the manual brake cars run an entirely different pedal assembly then the power brake cars...why I have no idea. Most that you find out there are manual brake units...I've only seen a couple power brake units over the years. The 65-68 C-body units pop up on E-bay from time to time...they seem to go for around $150-$200.

I have a manual brake set-up I picked up from a swap meet many years ago. One day I might toss it into the wagon. ;)

But if you felt adventurous, I'd try and make a set of pedals from a 81-93 dodge ram pick-up work. I have a set of those too, and they are a very simple, straight forward design that I think would take well to some slight modification to get them to work.

The dakota pedals all hang from a cast aluminum box that also serves as the column support and its hard to figure what could be cut versus what shouldn't be cut to fit it in under the dash. I'll keep fitting and visualizing. thanks for the 411.

340..what about tossing it all out the window and going with a tilton/wilwood/howe type of setup?...probably half as much work to do it and then youve got a totaly adjustable system..doesnt the dak clutch need hyd presser not a cable/linkage setup?....

My first thought was to cut the firewall and put all the dakota stuff in using the thick support plate from the dak firewall and the cast aluminum piece for the no dollar benefit. but lately I'm not sure if I'm going to have the time to drop the front subframe move it out do the cutting and welding and get it all back together before winter and I dont have the space to keep the subfame with motor and trans in out of the weather. The clutch is hydraulic which is why I thought it might make more sense to persue the c bod pedal assy and find a suitable clutch MC. I'm still chewing through the brainwork 'cause I've had very little time to get out to the garage this summer.

When kids get older they start to just take care of themselves right? like at 6 or 7 years old?:shifty:

well re-useing the dak stuff would be a good way to go but the parcticality of itmay prove mnore trouble than its worth...been there done that...the tilton type of pedal assy is preety well a clear the space and bolt and go

now if you had a stock set of 4spd pedals and just needed to addapt to hyd clutch thats not so bad
